scope for 597

I have had great luck with the Bushnell .22 Rim Fire that came with my 597.
It has a clear image, it's sturdy, and the parallax is 50 yds, not 100 like other scopes. It also comes with a set of tip-off rings, though I used a Remington scope mount and Millett Angle Lock rings instead. I just don't like tip-off rings.

I am currently using an el cheapo Fitco 6x40 scope that cost me 25 bucks. Works quite well, pretty decent optics and I do not have to worry about scratching it in the field. Also using cheap rings from Fitco that were 6 bucks for the set. The rest of my rifles have expensive scopes but I find that when it comes to .22's the cheap scopes work just fine.

right, looks like I should change my budget to less than 50 bucks, :)

Well, Fitco is having a 30% off sale right now, they are based out of Vancouver so no customs hassles. www. futong.com and have 3 year warranty. The gophers do not seem to notice the low price! :)
