Scope For A Winchester 94

Is it possible to mount a scope on a Winchester 94?I don't want to use the side mounts and yes it ejects from the top.If I mount a scope on the top will there be enough clearance for the shell to eject properlly?Can I use see thru mount to get that extra clearance I need? Thanks. jwk

if its not an angle eject, then you're only option for mounts is the side mount

better trade it in for a 336 or stick to irons or peeps

You could do a scout mount, but with an original Win 94 top eject I would stick with irons. How old is it? Why not try to trade for an angle eject if you really need the scope.

I have to agree that lever actions look way better without a scope and are still accurate to a resonable distance with a quality peep sights. I personally have the Williams FP on my Marlin 336SS and it works really well.

i agree with the peep sight crowd , mine had a peep for years, cant see anymore so now has a 4 power leupold works good with old eyes, it is a early angle eject without the dummy safety

Keep it iron sights, get good with it, impress your buds.
Thats what I've done with mine. Right now, it's by far my favorite gun in my safe.

The '94 is not a scope friendly gun. It looks terrible, and it kills the ballace.

Another vote here, for putting a peep sight on it. That's what I'm doing with my Marlin.

Thanks for all of the input guys.The gun is about 30yrs old,I have seen one with a scope mounted on top but I think the guy had a base on the front and the base on the rear was not even attached too the gun!Yes the rear mount was there just for looks!! Thanks again everyone.jwk
