Scope for AR

I am currently looking for a short-range scope to top an AR180B, and I am looking for something compact, I am thinking of a red-dot but prefer crosshairs, does anyone know of a scope that is like an ACOG but it the lower price range? I like the crosshairs and the compact size, but am not really fond of the price tag Also I don't want a c-more or any of those "open style" sights. Any ideas?
