I have a Marlin 39A and I am looking for a scope to put on it.

I have looked at regular rimfire scopes, but they are too long.

Any suggestions?

Thanx

Hmmm, I have a compact Simmons on a Marlin Papoose that would be perfect I suspect, but unfortunately its no longer made.

I think Leapers (Sorry, not my first choice) has a few compact models that would most likely work ok on a rimfire. Otherwise chances are you might need to look at Leupold if Bushnell and Tasco dont have anything suitable in their product lines.

depends how much you wanna spend, i would imagine since its on a rimfire, not a whole lot, bushnell dusk and dawn (something like a 1.5-4.5 x32mm) starts off at around 119.99 - simmons has some scopes out there too, they all average in the same price.

Well, since it's a .22, I don't want to spend more than $150 with taxes and all.

I saw some Leupold scopes, but it gives me shivers when I see the prices.

Thanks

X2 for the Nikon. Brilliantly crisp visuals. I have a 39a that came with a Tasco scope on it that looks ok but I have a Nikon on my 1022 and it is as good or better than my Leupie VXIII. They make a range of scopes but I bought this one at Reliable Gun in Vancouver for $170 plus tax. Amazing visuals for a rimfire scope. Getting one of their centerfire 4x for my 308 too I think.
