Scope for my .338 Winchester?

So what should I get for my Model 70? I had a cheap Bushnell Banner 1.5-4x20mm on it previously. A Leupold VX-3 2.5-8x36mm or Bushnell Elite 6500 1.25-8x32mm? Or something else?

Price range approximately $400-$600.

I have a A Leupold VX-3 2.5-8x36mm on my .375 H&H Sako.

Either the 2.5-8 or 3.5-10 would work. I use more 3.5-10s than anything else, and thats what I run on my own .338.

I just mounted a new 1.75-6 on my 338 this afternoon.
Great scopes. Have them on a 375 and 416 as well.

Put a Redfield 4-12 on my Ruger. 338 and she shoots like a dream. I use it as my sitting gun to reach out and hit moose.

I'm a big fan of the 1.5-5x Leupold but for a hair more versatility I'd go with the 2.5-8x Leupold. I prefer 33mm objectives in a hunting scope over a 40mm objective.

1.5-5 for heavy bush hunting zeiss 3-9x40 or the like for open fields, the zeiss has a wee bit more eye relief for them heavy pounders

I have a 3-9 busnell elite on my 338 RUM and it shoots real nice, never has lost its zero
