Hi, CZ452 shootercz452shooter said:It really depends on how much you are willing to spend.
If you don't mind spending "a bit" of money than the Bushnell 4200 4-16x40 would be IMHO the overall best scope you can get in that price range for all around shooting (4 power for the good field of view for hunting and 16 power for the target shooting).
If you are getting AO you don't need a rimfire scope. A rimfire scope has paralex set at about 50 yards but with AO it gets rid of paralex from 15 yards or so on most scopes out to infinity,
The Bushnell Banner 4-12 and 6-18x50 are nice scopes for a good price.
What you will probably find is that 9 power is not good enough for target shooting. I would say about 15 is minimum for target shooting.
I have several Bushnell 3200's, and a 5-15 with AO. This scope is very nice (and there is one for sale in the EE forums). I find the 5 power is good enough for hunting and the 15 power works good enough for target shooting purposes.
Another nice one is the Simmons 3-9x32AO for a good price.
I just bought the CZ last week. Mint! I plan on shooting pidgeons, grouse, Paper. It's an all around great shooting gun. I really bought it for my son to shoot when we go to the range. He is only 7yrs old. The .22LR are alot of fun.cz452shooter said:That sounds like a good idea (swapping the Simmons to your buckmark). What do you use the CZ for? :
The bushnell 3200's and 4200's have on downside IMO though like you mentioned which is there size. Quite large compared to other scopes. Maybe not a bad thing for bench shooting but that extra weight isn't always nice when your carrying it aroud a lot.
I am sure somebody will come along with some more opinions![]()

Thanks RossBRoss B. said:Weaver 3x9x32AO, 11.4 inches long, a very bright and edge to edge clear scope. These scopes can be bought for about $250.00, a quality alternative to the Leupold at half the price (made in Japan too).
