scope for RPR

looking for a scope for my rpr .308 for shooting to 1000 m. can only spend 500-600 at most. see cabelas offers a 30 mm FFP model in their covanat tactical line. anyone had any experience with them?

for shooting at a range with know distances should 30mm tube be a priority over FFP? do i need the extra adjustment in a 30mm tube over a 1 inch tube? doesn't seem to be much out there in my price range with both.


open to any other recommendations in this price range.
 
You don't need FFP to shoot to 1000 yards but you will need a scope that will give you around 40 MOA adjustment. :)
 
I have the Cabelas FFP model, it was on sale for a good price, seems to track well but we will see.
When it gets warm I'll take it out to 500m with my RPR (6.5 CM though)

Buy used off the EE...you will get into much better glass. If you could stretch to $1000 you could find some nice used optics. Ive seen Bushnell DMR's 3.5-21x50 on here for around $1000 maybe less with some bartering...awesome scope.
