Howdy!

I'm looking for a compact scope that won't cost an arm and a leg, for my Ruger 10/22 Takedown, something to replace my red dot. I'll be swapping my red dot onto a different rifle. The red dot is fun, but I'd like some magnification.
After doing a bit of research, the Leapers/UTG Bugbuster has some decent reviews for this application and price point. Any opinions from bug buster owners? Who sells them in Canada?
My Takedown is generally a range plinker, camping and eventually a critter gun.

Thanks

I'm assuming you want a scope that doesn't overhang so you can permanently mount it and have it still fit in the bag? If that's what you're going for then ignore this post, but I have a Bushnell Banner 3-9x40 on my takedown. Its a great scope for under $100 and is fairly compact, but it will overhang. I just use quick-release rings, and I've never had a problem with everything returning to zero after take-down. Plus everything still easily fits in the bag (stock in the large pouch, barrel and scope in the smaller pouches). If you go the 'quick-release rings' route, you could use any scope you wanted though.

I have 6x Bugbuster on a heavily modded Crosman 2240 and it works good, bought another in3-9 for future use. Reticle is a tad thick but for short range it's adequate. For a compact scope with the features it has, it should fill the bill. D+L Airgun has them.
