I have a sako lam varmint with a swar on it. the gun is a bit heavy for hunting coyotes so have ordered a sako hunter stainless grey wolf in .204. What would a reasonably high end scope be a good fit for coyote hunting?

6-24 or 8.5-32 sightronIII LRMOA reticle that way you will not only have a good set up for yotes you will also have a 300yd gopher exploder as well

My .223 wears a Vortex Viper HS 4-16x44 with a BDC reticle. I'm also considering a .204 next year...and if I get one..it TOO will wear the same model of Vortex. http://vortexcanada.net/products/riflescopes/viper_hs/viper_hs_4-16x44_bdc.html

My stainless .204 wears a silver VX-III 3.5-10. If I could justify the dollars though, I'd go with that Swarovski too.

I always find myself maxed out and looking for more at 10x, a little extra power is a good idea for sure.

This had the ballistic turret so turned it down so was able to order a Sako 85 laminated stainless grey wolf in 22-250 with a Swarovski Z6 2.5-15 x 56 scope with the BRH reticle.

Ive changed my thinking on yote scopes,( calling) i like to be lower on the magnification, some of the 2.5 x 10 are especially nice for carry rifles. i like mil dots, and BDC , altho the new custom turrets are sweet.
if opting for a lite gun, 10 power will work for most distances i will be shooting with coyote precision, with a 204.
my current gun is a T3 lite c/w Nikon 2.5 x 10 il dot in 204. with 35 or 40 Bergers. It works well.
