Scope for Savage 10TR (Newby question)

Thank you for your reply, I think I have some answers for those questions.
1) it's probably PRS and coyote hunting mainly in prairies( have deer scope 3-9)

If you seriously consider PRS as a sport, then you may want to get one scope from the following list. A clear, crisp glass becomes very important when you pass 500 meters. Try to look through S&B, Steiner, Kahles, NF, Razor II and you will never want to look again through a scope that costs $500. For PRS you definitely need a FFP scope preferably with H58/H59/Tremor reticles. They are expensive.

2) 3) I can go both no problem imperial and metric. Just don't have an experience with scope calculations, what is better?

How can you go both if you don't have an experience with scope calculations? Try to calculate in your head the target and distance with MOA and then with MILS and see what do you prefer? I used to be a MOA guy, but recently switched to MILS and found it to be much easier to calculate.

I had a stac 3-16, it wasn't even close to the S111.

I didn't find it very clear.

If your going to spend $700 + on the stac,I'd take a look at the Bushnell LRHS 3-12 FFP.
Crystal clear, excellent knobs,great reticle.

Seen one on the EE recently, for a good price. $899 shipped.

It's wayyyyy better than the Stac 3-16.

That is too bad... the ones I have, shoot with customers are working great. The glass is definitely a bit less vs the SIII's which have some very nice glass. I wonder if yours didn't come set up well from the factory?

Anyways, in the ones we use, we have no problem seeing, aiming and engaging on a rock 8 1/2" X 5" tall at 1450yds. We can choose to aim on the left, right or middle of the rock.

For the money, STACs have alot of very powerful features.

I will second the Sightron stuff. I have a 4-20 STAC MOA on my Savage 10FCP-K and i can easily see a 4 inch white plate at 550 yards. When I miss, it is never due to the scope. I would buy another in a heart beat.

At the Cabelas in Calgary , one of the more knowledgeable gun counter guys mentioned He got one of these in 6-24 for his savage 10Tr and loves it.
He mentioned it was a rebranded Meopta . Pay attention to their sales though as I often see them on for $299-315 ish .

True and I've looked not a whole lot of reviews out there on it.
