Ok I've got a slight dilemma... I own a burris Mtac 1-4 right now that is currently on the Tavor. The problem I'm having is my AR got the scope snatched so it only has irons on right now. So my main shooting takes place at the range and for rifles they have a 50 yard (supposed to be for sighting in cause there is only 1 bench) 100 -200 300 yard. So at a 100 yard for me a red dot is impossible for me to hit a paper and be accurate.... Do I get another 1-4 I've always wanted a eotech, but is it worth it at a range that is hard to hit at 100 yards with a red dot ??

My tavor started out with an eotech and it was ok. i then upgraded to a trijicon TA31 4x and it was pretty good!The tavor now has a elcan specterDR 1-4x and in my opinion that is the best match for the rifle. A 4x optic or more is needed to really bring out the rifles awesomeness. buy once cry once!
I have an EOTech on my CZ858 and ya they're awesome. Only RDS I've found that is bright enough to work on a sunny day.
Shooting within 300 yards? Rule of thumb is one power of magnification for every 100m so a 4x will be enough. As for red dots at range... I've hit a gopher at over 100 yards with a red dot on my SR-22 (took a few shots to gage the holdover) and I was getting 2moa groups at 100 yards with a 6moa red dot holographic scope on my scout rifle (a nice cheap Burris holo before I found a variable scout scope for it). Another one I want to try is the Leupold reflex site with the triangular dot...
