Scope for Type 95

I believe that they came through Lever Arms when the original Type 97s were first imported as restricted rifles and then prohibited. I bought one of the scopes for mine and then kept it when I had to hand the rifle over to the RCMP. Fortunately after some fighting owners were compensated the full purchase price (around $1300). I was then able to buy the version that was acceptable for less money. I also kept the cleaning kit, spare mags and sling.

To be honest the scope is not that great. The reticle is very fine and difficult to see, field of view is limited and it has a very 60's style toggle switch to turn illumination on and off. The rubber eye piece is a bit strange and the lens cover at the front always seems to get in the way of the view through the scope. I have yet to find a way to field strip without removing the scope which then needs readjustment to POA. The leather case is neat.

Yup! Got this from a friend. Its more nostalgic than utility. But with the rail adaptor its just so high. With this the check weld is pretty reasonable. Not from that original batch lol. That was before my time.

Very nice. Every now and then I look for one to go on my Type 97. The few that were around were hard to find and I seem to recall they weren't cheap.
