Hoping someone can answer a few questions
How does scope height to barrel affect total elevation travel in a FFP optic. More so how much elevation do you gain / lose vs how close the scope is to the barrel.
Second.
Two rifles:
CZ455 with MDT 20 MOA rail and MDT Premier rings
CZ457 with Area 419 30 MOA rail and ZRO Delta rings
Both rifles have Athlon Midas TAC 5-25×56 FPP optics.
The scope height to barrel on both is near identical with the 457 ZROdelta rifle being just a touch closer and having the 30 MOA rail. That 10 MOA should equate to about 2.9 MIL additional travel. However when both are zeroed at 25 yards and the zero stops set, the 457 has just over 7 MIL more travel.
Trying to figure out why there is such a difference. Thoughts?
