Scope height question

I want to mount a Leupold Mark 4 LR/T 4.5-14x50mm TMR on a Rem 700.
I am thinking about buying a rail and ring system for it, the height for the rail is given at 0.35", the rings are medium with a height given as 0.84", total 1.19" or about 30mm.
The scope has a 50mm objective lens, half of that is 25mm.
Does this give me 5mm (30mm minus 25mm) clearance from the top of the action to the scope or am I missing something?

Just for comparison, I'm running a Remington 700 VSSF II (Sendero contour barrel) with a Nightforce XTRM 20MOA Rail and a Vortex AMG 6-24x50mm scope. I'm also running Nightforce XTRM 30mm rings in Low which for them is 0.885". It fits fine and I probably have 5mm or more from top of barrel to bottom of objective (less with scope covers on).

Keep in mind that the 50mm objective is actually the glass measurement so the actual outer dimensions of your scope bell will be larger. You might need to use a micrometer to measure the actual outside dimension. Google "scope ring height calculator" and use it to give you a decent idea.
