Scope help on my 11.5in AR

Well folks I cant seem to find a red dot to fit my needs on my AR...

From the Sparc, Eotech to the lucid I dont like them on the AR and I cant Afford a Elcan or Acog...

What do you guys run for 100Y and less, what are some good options for me ...

Well just started looking at the Vortex 1-4X I guess there is no cheap options... + the mount witch is another 200$...

Cant wait to see my Tax return... Might drop it all on an optic...

11.5'' still has a 200-300 capability, my vote would go to the TA33 series 3x ACOG.

T1 as said, magnifier if necessary simple, rugged, light and reliable.

I've tried a few different options on my 11.5" and I like the 1-4 the best.

i use a 3.5 trijicon acog on my 11.5 inch and i love it works good for 50-200 yards i run dueck defence rts sights for close range

You didnt like the Eotech for 100 yrds and less? I love the holosight set-up on my 11.5; I would try something in 1-4x, but I have yet to find something at a reasonable price point.

I have terrible eyes... So red dots are a PITA for me... I might as well have irons...

I know a XPS2 looks bada$$ mounted on an AR but Looking cool dosent help accuracy when you cant see sh!t but a big red blur....

sorry guy (not going to be much help with this one)...I run ACOG's...really, why not save alittle and get the TA01...it's not THAT expensive.

I have chance to look at the Vortex 1-4 and the Hi-Lux 1-4 quite extensivly and for the money the Hi-Lux was the only choice. Even at the same price I would still go with it. The reticle on the Vortex is just too fine IMHO

Do you have the screw-in 2x for the lucid? If so was that enough magnification for you?

I was thinking about trying an hd7 for the optional magnification myself - have not heard anything about them.

Thing about Acogs is the short eye relief and time it takes to aquire target, sure its not a "long" period of time, but in comparison to a T1 etc it seems painfull. I love the idea of the BDC on Acogs and what can aquire with 1-4s but the eye relief and time difference is a PITA for me. Everyone and everyones eyes are different I understand, mine are not perfect. For my any AR under 14.5" I'll go red dot, magnifier if necessary. Anything longer I'll look at another 1-6 like a Mark 6 or something down the road.

Same sort of lines, but the Falcon Menace, which is $100 in price reduction.
