Yesterday I posted an ad for sale in the optics section. The scope I sold ( it sold within minutes ) was a NF NXS 8-32x56 (older style - no ZS ) and I have been accused by a member on here "Bucktomcat" of posting pictures of a scope other than what was advertised - specifically he says that the pics refer to a 22x model with ZS.

I have offered to speak to Bucktomcat and have provided him my personal phone number and I have asked for an apology. He has doubled down on the allegation suggesting my quick removal of the for sale ad is in some way suspicious.

To say this allegation has annoyed me would be an understatement as I strongly believe in posting real pics of what I am really selling. Since I removed my 'for sale ad' (because it sold) I've reposted the pics I uploaded and If other optics folks could opine/verify I'd appreciate it.

These are the pics I posted.

"EDIT: Short version - I was wrong about the scope as, indeed, it had the ZS feature. So, the buyer got a much better deal than expected - being a real gent he said he would send it back for re-listing but I said a deal is a deal and I'm OK with the fact that my mistake was to his benefit. Bucktomcat has not apologized for saying that I put one picture up (of a top-tier scope) while selling a lesser scope. The buyer has said that he will confirm that the scope that he gets is the scope photographed"

Thanks in advance everyone. I know I shouldn't get so upset about this but when my integrity is questioned I just get pretty ticked off.

This scope has a sloped turret cap explain to me when they started putting those on? When they got the zero stop. Did you change the cap?

I sure know the feeling about my honesty and integrity being stepped on.

This isn't going to go well.................me thinks.

Offer a refund and lose the issue.

Sounds like buyers remorse.

For the record Mr Cranky pants got all worked up when I asked a simple question haha

The cap wouldnt fit I already know that

I'm not the buyer

Sloped turrets with 20moa per turn thats ZS.....if it's not then it the first I've ever seen

Olie suffer'in post 'oar'in.........................:onCrack:

To clear the air this started when I asked a simple question about the picture because I was interested in the scope. Then I was swiftly put in my place and an apology was DEMANDED!
It was a simple question and yes I asked for the pictures to be put back up and, yes I still think the pic shows a zero stop model. I'll call NF directly and if they ever made a non zero stop
with sloped turrets I will apologies I'll even call BOB directly and apologies if I'm wrong

If you're not the buyer, then what purpose is served by arguing about turret cap styles? Buyer is happy, seller is happy. Seller has 236 trades, 100% rating.

Is it possible to troll a third party EE transaction?

I was thinking the same thing.
I have personally delt with Tomochan and was very pleased when the rifle arrived in way better condition than he described it.

I'm not the one that started a post and put his handle name in there for everyone to take a poke at.....the post was put up to get some actual feedback on the picture
Everything else is just unproductive fluff. But as usual on here everyone wants to hear themselves talk and judge me or the OP depending on how they feel.
If someone wants to pipe in about the actual picture please do so otherwise no need.

Well here's hoping it's a zero stop :) I shall let everyone know when it arrives. I may even post a pic with my shoe in it! The last scope I bought from him was the correct model I paid for. Pretty sure I'm going to get what was advertised.

It will be in the mail today - if it has Zero Stop you can send more money LOL !!

Now perhaps someone can make my AICS-stocked Remington into an AI AW for me !

I will let everyone know if Mr. Bucktomcat actually does call and apologize.

To be clear: This isn't a 'zero-stop or no zero stop' question. It is about posting pictures of the actual scope for sale. It is about being accused of posting pictures of something different.

Looks like I'm not the one who's going to eat crow today!

Next time post a picture of the actual scope you're selling. Have a good day

I did post an actual pic of the scope I sold - my mistake was in thinking it wasn't a zero stop model. As it happens the buyer got an even better deal than he thought he was getting as the scope that is pictured is the scope that was sold and is the scope that is now in the hands of Canada Post.

Of course you - Bucktomcat - could have said " Hey Tomochan - I think you have made a mistake etc etc " but you chose to be a Charlie Uniform Nancy Tango and accuse me of photographing one item and selling another which is false and insulting. Best part of this whole deal is that you didn't get to buy it !
