OK, I'm using Millett angle-loc rings to install a scope on a savage mk11 rimfire. The instructions are very vague.I did what it said. Fully tighten left hand screws back out 2 full turns istall on rifle then tighten right hand screws. It then says to adjust windage loosen or tighten the appropriate clamp screws to ring left or right..

WELL WTF which ring do you move left or right? I'm assuming it means the rear ring..But if you move only the rear ring base won't that put pressure on the front of the scope and cause damage? Do you just adjust the rear base or both? When installed without adjustment the scope is about an inch and a half to the left of the reference line...Scope adjustment is dead centre.. I could probaly adjust the windage using the scope dial alone but I'd prefer to get it as close as possible by adjusting the rings.

Just get a piece of 1 in. rod or wood dowel 4ft to 5ft and loosely put rings on rifle, now put rod in rings and step back and look about 5 ft back and see if it's center with the barrel and straight with barrel, do adjustments to center.
