I've just brought home my first rim fire rifle, a NIB Savage Mark II FVT :D

However, I want to put the target scope on it for testing the ammo then my best friend (who is very knowledgeable) points me to a one-piece EGW Savage 93/Mark II Picatinny Rail 20MOA. Unfortunately, after searching online what I've found are only US sellers (ITAR gets in the way, no shipping). Now, I might have to go with a pair of std Savage bases and keep looking for the EGW base.

All comments and advices from Savage owners are welcome.
Thank you.

Thank you "lone-wolf". By the way, how long does it take to get to your door? Thank you.

Can't recall, as you see from the picture it was a couple years ago, and I can barely remember a couple days ago lol
I would bet a week or 2 tops, usually doesn't take long, and if shipping was crazy, I wouldn't of bought it.

touche, must of had money back then to swallow $25 shipping

Subtotal Amount : $39.99

OK, I am curious - why a 20 MOA base for a .22?

\

Thanks. Are lots of you guys/gals shooting to 300 with your .22's? Sounds like good fun.

The 20-30 MOA bases can serve two purposes... they do allow more vertical adjustment for long range shooting, but they can also help with a 100 yard POI, by allowing the scope to be positioned more to the optical center of the objective lens... this helps with a number of optical aberations.

OP... I use DIP bases on my Savage rifles... getting them is the problem... if you only need one, I might have a spare in my shop.
