Scope mount for Marlin 1895

I want to put a 2.5 power Weaver nice and low on my Guide Gun. Anyone been through this exercise already? Have you tried the Leupold quick release mounts?

I used a Leupold one piece base with Leupy Low Rings when I scoped mine a while back. I put a Burris FF II 1.75-5 on it......worked out great.....

I'm using Weaver Grand Slam 2-pc bases with Leupold QRW rings. Seems to work fine.
