Hi Guys

I am looking for a scope mount for a Parker Hale sportster. It is drilled and tapped for a side mount. From what i have read they don't make them anymore. Does anyone know where to get one?

Aaron

The PH side mount has been out of production for a good many years. You need to get lucky in the EE, at a gunshow, or maybe Western Gun Parts.

IF someone would lend you one, you could probably get it copied by a competent machinist, but unless you have such a person amongst your friends/family, it could cost more than it's worth to you.

If you want a mount that will cover those holes and you don't mind making more, you could look at the Williams side mounts. I'm not sure, but that might do it.

Ellwood Epps had one in stock a while back. Try contacting them. If it's for a No.4 Lee Enfield, check out the one I made in the gunsmithing forum. Lots of luck to you.

Update with Pics

Hey guys

A little update. So i started with a 5" peice of 1x1 CRS angle. I bead blasted it to remove a bit of the scale and clean it up. I took the measurements off my receiver since it was already drilled and tapped. I milled the ends and edges of the angle to make it strait and parallel. Drilled and chamfered the holes. Next I notched out the slot for the safety and for the other screw that is in the receiver. I still to drill and tap the top to mount the rail to (have to buy of first). Will post more pics when it is finished.

Looks good! As for the rail, I have two Weaver bases that are flat on the bottom that you could mount on that.

PM me your address, Aaron, and I'll put them in the mail to you.
