SIR finally shipped out my riffle Stevens 200, I have a browning 3-9 x 40 to mount on it, which scope mounts do I use.

Thanks
Dan

try and get a 1-piece mount - preferably a weaver/picatinny rail, topped with weaver rings like Burris Zee or Leupold QRW/PRW or whatever. wont cost you too much and will give you the most versatility.
the mount holes are very far apart on Savages rather longish short-action receiver, so two-piece mounts like the Leupold and Warne will not give you much room for adjustment when mounting your scope.

search brownells.com for part #296-000-091
its a 1-piece tactical style Weaver rail for $40.
remember to get the right one for round top Savage receivers. their shipping is quite fast and they only charged me like $3 shipping for a small part like this, customs didnt even bother with it since it came in a padded envelope.

the drawback of a 1-piece rail like this is that its going to limit the room you have to top-load the rifle, and on a Stevens thats the only way you can load it since theres no DM mag. the rail is relieved a bit around the loading port area however, to give you more room. if you have really fat or clumsy fingers i would stay with the 2-piece mounts though :)
this type of mount will allow by far the most versatility in mounting scopes, sights and red-dots and let you move the scope as far back as you need for proper eye relief.
