Hey guys I recently bought this scope and just mounted it with this quick detach mount I had on hand (on top of the NEA cantilever mount). It seems to lock up tight but I note the one side of the mount does not have a very large area to grab onto the picatinny rail.

I don't have much experience in setting up scopes so my concerns are as follows. Is there enough grip on the smaller QD mount to not lose my zero ?? Also does having my 2 scope rings so close together have a negative impact on my ability to hold zero? I have considered getting a longer quick detach base so the rings can be further apart or buying a Burris PEPR Scope mount. I need to have the scope forward for proper eye relief (picking up a deflector shield prior to firing so scope does not take case strikes).

Have not had a chance to fire this setup just yet so I'm asking those with experience to give me their opinions.

The only way to really make an assesment without shooting is to try wiggling the scope to see if ther is any play. The scope is pretty small so the 2 rings being close together shouldnt be a problem, they are a decent size ring. My only concern would be having 2 QD mounts supporting your scope. Thats 2 possibilities for some play. If it wont hold zero either during firing or with removing and reinstalling the mount, then pick up a riser to replace the QD mount under your scope. Test firing is the only way to tell for sure.

I guess the best way to find out is by shooting it. It looks kinda dodgy to me.

Ejected casings are going to beat the snot out of your scope if you keep it that far forward.

lots of room for a defector.

does it have eye relief ?

and how much is it ?

Eye relief is 3 inches.

I do have a deflector ordered which will fit under the rear sight leaf; I believe it was your post in optic's which showed me this option for the deflector.......thanks!
