Scope mount removal

Ive got a mount on my m14 for awhile now and I'd like to remove it, the only problem is that the screw have been locktited and wont budge at all. Im about to use the vise but I'd like to know if im gonna scrap the tread this way ?

Use heat from a soldering iron to soften the loctite.

For whatever reason I always thought of this operation involving a torch and a heatsink.

Blue loktite.....not so much heat......red...... a lot more.

Was a pain to remove but I got the darn thing off !

Thanks for the tips, I missed thoses iron sights.
