Scope mount suggestions for vangard 2

Can anyone confirm if a the talley Lows are high enough (have enough clearance) for a standard 40mm objective for a rifle with a heavy barrel? I have a 22-250 carbine with the heavy barrel

Low should be fine, but you can also email talley. tell them exactly what you have and they can tell you the right height.

I just put low Talley's on a Vanguard 2 .243 with a Nikon 4-18x40mm scope. About perfect height, Very close to barrel but not going to interfere with anything

I've got several different set-ups on vanguards; my favorite being the Leupold Double Dovetail.

I picked up a Nikon prostaff 4x12x40 and talley lightweight lows. If I can figure out how to post pics I will post one when I get it mounted up

I had Talley lows on a Vanguard with a Bushnell 3-9X40mm, they were good

I use Talley rings on my Weatherby Vanguard and Browning xbolt. Hard to find any better IMHO.

These are the Remington branded "talley" type....$42 at Wolverine supplies. I actually prefer them to Talley.
