Scope mounting help

Hey just wondering if I can get some input on mounting a scope on a slr reciever set. I ordered a us optics ts12 with 30mm tube and 42mm objective. Unfortunately the optic is to short for the cantilever mount I have. My local gun store has a set of vortex extra high 1.54 rings in stock. Would this give me proper eye relief? I believe the from the top of the rail to center of bore is 1.25

Will the added height of the rings cause the scope to be mounted further from or closer to your eye? If not, the eye relief won't change.

If you mean proper cheek weld, the extra-high rings should work. The problem might be getting the scope far enough ahead for proper eye relief.
