So i just mounted my bushnell trophy 2-7 power on my no4 mk1 with the s and k mount. and when i look through the scope i can kinda see a faded image of the front sight on my rifle its below the reticle so i could still use it but im querious what this problem might be. I tried to bore sight it very roughly and it doesnt seem too bad. any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. ps when i advence the scope to 4 power it dissapears

When a scope is mounted, the reticle is pointed slightly low to compensate for gravity. Due to the low magnification of the scope (2X), it does pick up the blurry image of the front sight. You can either take the sight off (if possible), put higher rings on (not advisable), change the scope or live with the slight image. There is nothing wrong with the setup of yours, it is quite common.

Its not the original my gun is a sporterized version, so it just looks like a sleeve that is jammed on there. (no screws or anyhting)
