Hi, I just bought a new Stoeger 2000, 12ga, 3" mag, 24" barrell, full camo, with a pistol grip stock. I'm only using this gun for turkey, and I'd really like to mount a red dot scope on it. It's not drilled/tapped on the the top of the receiver. Has anyone ever drilled out and tapped holes for a weaver type scope mount on one of these before?
I'm really considering doing it myself, as my friend has a complete machine shop, and we could probably do this quite easily, and very acurately.
Was wondering what type of mount kit I might need? Thanks, for any help that you guys can offer. Steve.
