So I have been looking for a scope mount for my ten year old Ruger single six (not the hunter model) for the past couple of days, why? Uh... lets say, just because
Surprisingly(OK, not too surprised anymore, eh?), as a matter of fact, there are several options if one lives down south across the border, but can't find anything locally in Canada, maybe because I haven't been looking hard enough? Asked a couple of local gunshops in Vancouver too, and so far non of the nice guys there got any ideas about how to get a single six mounted.
Sure, the single six's are pretty accurate on iron sights, but I guess there must be some of us like to try something different once in a while. If I ever find a decent mount, I'm gonna scope my 9" single six and keep the iron sights on my single ten.
So fellow single six owners, where did you find a scope mount for your revolvers? Do we import from brownells, or there are some non CGN-active gunsmiths out there have such mount down their basements? Speak of brownells, I used to buy from them when I lived near New York, but shipping to Canada seem to be harder with all the brokerage and import paper works standing in the way.
Cheers!
