Scope mounts on Browning A-Bolt?

I just received a new to me Browning A-Bolt and planned on using my Burris trumount universal bases to mount my scope. I ordered the burris signature rings to fit these bases. Now I go to put the bases on to find they don't fit, the contour is wrong they don't sit flush. Anyone know a solution to make these rings work?

Should have gone with the zee rings and weaver bases I guess...but had these bases and like them.

I had Talley one piece, they worked well on my A-bolt, still have them in black matte 30mm if you interested in buying used I can see if I can find them, now I am using the EGW rail cause I went to a bigger scope. It works really well, its holding a millet LRS (35mm tube) and vortex precision matched rings.

I have many A-bolts. All have Leupold bases, some one pc and some 2 pc and I like the Leupold super low rings. 3x9x40 Leupold scopes fit with at least a blonde C hair of clearance.
