Scope options - CZ550, .458 Win Mag

My aging eyes demand I make the move from iron sights to optics so I'm interested in your opinions & comments re the most versatile scope options for a CZ-550 in .458 Win Mag - intended use to include Canadian & African large game, ranges within the limits of the cartridge.

Any suggestions for a supplier (including the appropriate rings) would also be appreciated.

I have a Meopta Meostar 1.5-5 on my Marlin 1895 that would likely fit the bill for you too. Great optics at a reasonable price.

Pick something in the 1-4 or 1.5-4.5 range. I have a B&L ScopeChief 1.5-4.5 on my 458, and a Leupold 1-4 on my 500 A-Square.
You don't need anything special as far as rings go. Pick something that looks good with your gun. I use Burris signatures for my 458, Warnes on my 378, Leupold QR's on my 500... they all work

This. With a German #4 reticle. Check out the illuminated version--it's pretty fun.

I love mine on the .458, with Leupold QRW rings and Leupold weaver-style bases it's never given me a bit of trouble.

Another scope worth considering is the Bushnell Elite 4200 1.25 - 4.

Very good low light capability, and interestingly enough eye relief on par with Loopy's.
