Scope recomendation for lever 22

Gents I have recently purchased a Marlin 39AS Original Golden and have shot the open sights just to confirm that I can't hit Sh^t with them and now feel the need to scope this rifle. Its drilled and tapped on top of the reciever and need the expert advice of you all to tell me which scope will fit nicely, Thanks FS

I use a Weaver V22-a-3x6 on mine since 1978

You should try a peep sight mounted on the dovetails....
Red dot's are fun as well and not to big.

As far as scopes go the question is how much power do you want?
Adjustable objective or a .22 model?
A small fixed .22 scope wouldn't look to bad.

Here is the "scope" I settled on for my 39A. Even if typical "irons" are too much for your eyes a receiver sight may just be the ticket.
