So I've decided to get a 22 rifle for target shooting, and now I need a scope. I'm looking for:

- Most bang for the buck.
- A little closer to the pro/awesome side.. I don't want it to limit my accuracy.
- Something I can later put on some of the higher-range target rifles or use for hunting (I'd like to avoid having to buy many different scopes, if possible)
- No price limit as long as it's worth it and it keeps its value for resale.

What can you guys recommend?

Most bang for the buck in my opinion would be a Mueller 8-32x44APT with target-dot. For less than $300 that is hard to beat But if you are going to use it for hunting I would go with the 4.5-14 series for less than $200. That is my opinion and I am sure you will get many more.

If budget is not a problem the Schmidt ans Bender may fit the bill, they have some very nice glass. Zeiss has some top notch glass as well. They should both keep have good resale value.
