I'm new to the precision rifle game and want a really good set of rings for my new toy and suggestions?


FN Patrol Bolt Rifle .308 came with two peice picatinny bases mounting a Leupold VX-II 6x18x40

Badger or TPS.

Badger VERY expensive stuff.

TPS looks good as well. No experience with it but heard good things. I have Badger, which is top quality stuff but there are others just as good which you will not pay for the name.
 
Badger only has 30mm rings....not sure if I like the idea of using spacers...I bought Leupold Mark 4 one inch rings from Wolverine
 
By golly your right!! I have Nightforce on mine so I never even looked @ 1".

TPS does have 1". Make Picatinny rails to. Nice 10 or 20 MOA rail and a good set of rings and your off to the races.
 
TPS can't be beat for price and quality! Steel or aircraft grade 7075 aluminum. We carry them and have excellent stock.

If you want the best go with Near MFG. Richard builds an amazing product that many shooters in the States are using as well. His quality is number one and his customer service may be equalled but can't be beat.

The first pic is his Muzzle brake on my Sako TRG 42 and the second is also near products on my TRG 42.
