I just ordered an R-25 and now I need to know which rings to order for it. Apparently you need a pretty high set of rings to clear the handgaurd on these rifles. Anyone got one or an idea of which ones will work? I will be running a 40mm AO scope. Thanks.

I had an R25 with a 40mm objective scope (leupold). I was using Leupold medium QRW rings, it just worked. With the longer receiver I could actually get the scope far enough forward without a riser.
If I did it again, I'd go with high rings, but mediums will do.

I ordered mine from Brownells. It's a "raiser mount" for flat-top AR-15's. It's a solid raiser mount with rings (1") attaches just like an A3 carrying handle with the two thumb locks....works great...one solid unit for 1" scope tubes.
