Hi everyone I had a 3-15 scope on an AR type rifle and it had a cantilever mount attached. I put it on the my tikka Tactical and it sitting 2 low what’s your thoughts on the height of the rings I should by? Thanks

I think was Brownells website had actual dimensions for various scope ring brands - I found that "Low", "Medium", "High", "Extra High" words vary a lot by one ring maker to another - since you have the scope, base and rifle in hand - should be able to mock up something to tell you the dimension that you need? I also noticed some makers give dimension from top of base to bottom of scope tube - others top of base to the middle of the scope ring - so want to pay attention to what you work with?

You should buy rings at the height where the scope objective bell just nicely clears the barrel and where you can still get a comfortable cheek weld while seeing the entire field of view. In this respect lower is generally better as far as cheek weld is concerned.
