Hey guys, I'm wondering how much of a difference scope rings quality matters versus price, I mean prophet river has 70$ range rings for about 30$ on clearout, I considered picking some up, but then there's less pricey ones and I don't see the difference, I like having decent stuff though.

What's your take on it? I'd be using them for plinking, hunting, not really anything for precision. I'd likely buy em' if they're a steal and keep them around until I need them.

The rings on my buddies 223 are worth more than majority of my scopes i own. Hes happy and never had an issue. I have weaver steel rings on my 458wm. Never had an issue either.
I believe you get what you pay for and fit and finish comes with a premium price tag. Would i trust $8 rings on a big game hunt...nope. On a 22lr sure.
My next set will be mdt rings. Theyre $90. And well reviewed. Will they do anything my weaver rings wont i doubt it. But they will look better

Good rings are definitely worth it in my opinion. Especially on higher recoil calibers or if going with QD rings. That being said, steel weaver rings work, they have always worked. They just happen to be Ugly.

The Nikon rings we have on sale are excellent. We just happened to have a great deal on them. They are steel rings and are really warne rings branded as nikon.

Thanks, I believe they're good quality and was just not too sure the differences, it's not something you see in the description or hear of too much. Anyways thanks for the responses.
