Scope Selection

Hello There.

I narrowed down my scope selection to two.

1. Zeiss Conquest 6.5-20x50, 1/4 MOA, $1000
2. Nikon Monarch 6-24x50, 1/8 MOA, $600

Zeiss is a big name, but Nikon is more scope for less. Is there anybody who has experience with both? Thanks in advance.

Both are decent scopes but what is the purpose you are putting it to and on what rifle?

I own both. I like both but the Zeiss is definitely clearer and sharper.
New Nikon for $600 is a very good price.

I have a Savage Palma 308 Precision Target Rifle. I do target shooting only, up to 500 yards. I know both Nikon and Zeiss in the digital world, but I am not familiar with these scopes. The prices are Net prices, not including Taxes or Shipping. I just wanted to show the ratio between the two. I am leaning towards the Zeiss. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Me personaly would go Ziess but I find it hard to belive that you could find that type of scope for a 1,000 in Canada.

I have only looked through a Nikon once,, but have owned too many Zeiss to count and they are are about all I own, I think they are great..aswell as Nightforce. If you can get a 6.5-20x50mm in Canada for $1300 your doing good probably $1400 plus...again optics is a personal decision, only you can decide whats best.
