Hey guys.
I have a VX II mounted on my Model 700 CDL .270. I took the rifle hunting this fall, and have shot it the odd time since. Today I was out with some friends, and letting some new people try the rifle. I noticed when I shot it later in the day the the scope had moved backwards about 1/4 of a cm. This created two ugly lines that chipped away at the scopes finish. I am also worried about the accuracy of the scope as it moves backwards. I am wondering what I can do in the future to prevent this?
I am not sure what company my rings are from.. The guy I got my scope from (new) gave the rings to me with them. They might be leupold? They look to be good quality. They are the kind that turn in. I feel like my mounts were tightened sufficiently.
Thanks
