hey gang

Think I'm going to get a scope for this deer season. I have a Mossberg 930 with the riffled barrel, and a scope may just give me that extra advantage i need.

Any suggestion.

I saw a nice nikon one today and am leaning towards that, mind you the gun shop i was at only had bushnells and nikons anyways

Oh and lets keep it affordable, around $200 ish would be nice

Thanks

Eye relief is key with heavy recoiling slugs.

The Nikon Slughunter has 5" of relief, definitely worth looking into.

I just got a Burris fullfield II in 2-7. It costs $250, has the ballistic plex reticle (gives you holdover points for different ranges) it's very bright, has plenty of eye relief and is guaranteed for life. It would do well on your slug gun or on another rifle in the future.

I have a Mosberg 935 with the cantilever rifled barrell. I originally tried a Bass Pro Redhead shotgun scope off the shelf. Price with mounts was $120.00 and it was garbage. Mounts kept getting loose and the cross hairs would change when trying to sight it with 3" sabots. I returned it and upgraded to a Bushnell Trophy with weaver mounts, I believe it is a 1.75X4X32. Now I can get 2" groupings at 100 yards. using the Hornady 2 3/4" SST's.

I have a bushnell trophy 1.75-4x 30mm scope on my mossberg 535. My brother and dad also have it on their mossberg 500s. Great scopes, stand up well to the slug gun recoil and have great field of view,

my scope is in real tree camo as well, matches my gun
