I'm done waiting for vortex to get their crap sorted out, I've got a gun I've been waiting two months to shoot, and still no sign of the viper pst 6-24x50. Anyone have any suggestions on a scope that will make feel good not waiting for the vortex? It will be used for long range bench shooting.

Thanks
Brad

read my thread 4 lines down on this page. Sightron is a decent alternative and you don't have to wait til July

Check out Weaver, Clearidge, Bushnell Elite 4200. They are all made by LOW (Light Optical Works) in Japan, who also made the original Vortex Viper. Sightron Big Sky is also another very good quality scope also made in Japan. The Sightron Big Sky provides 60+ MOA adjustment, depending on model, so good for long range adjustment. However, be aware that they also recommend not using the last 25% of this adjustment for maximum accuracy.

Where are you? What cal.? Maybe, juat see if you can borrow a scope from one of your local buddies until the Vortex order comes in.

(yup, I've loaned-out scopes, and my chrony and lube-sizer, press, cannelure roller-thingy, etc.)

If is long range benchrest then best deal and best quality for money is probably Sightron. Take a look at 8-32x56 and read reviews.
There are Peter from Hirschprecision and Jerry from Mystic who sell them.
Another option is Nightforce, great scopes, probably best quality out there, but more pricey. Hirschprecission sells them.

Good Luck
