Scope Wont Mount

I bought the Tasco red dot scope (the one worth $40) for my .22. it comes with 3/8 dovetail mounts but after I opened it out of the box . I realized that my 22 mounts are way bigger (not sure of size).

So my question is... is there a way to get it to mount to the gun as I am pretty sure I cant take it back now that I destroyed the package. Thanks for the help.

Are you saying that your red dot scope fits a regular .22 dovetail mount and you have a Weaver/Picatinny style rail on your rifle? If that's the case, I haven't seen an adapter that converts Picatinny to dovetail...but I have seen the other way around. D&L Airguns has the Dovetail-Picatinny adaptor advertised in their website...but sounds like you need the other way around.

I'm not sure what you mean by the Picatinny mount. I took a picture of the two mounts, maybey that well help me explain this better. Thanks

Tasco makes that red-dot in two sizes, you need the one with the 22mm mount, not the 11mm.
