I know how to use my scopes and adjust for windage and elevation, etc ... but can somebody link me to where all the parts are explained, distances, basics of how you choose your scope for certain uses. Boy I sound like a dumbass here ... HAHA!

Dumbass...no. Total Noobsausage...without a doubt!:D

Scopes are one of those things that everyone has an opinion on and people get right twitchy when you disagree with them. For example, I might (truthfully) say that 99% of my hunting could be accomplished with a 1.5-5x Leupold. Then another guy will berate me because his opinion (I say "his" because I've yet to have a chick berate me for my choice of riflescope) is that the 25mm objective is too small for "last light" (despite the 5mm exit pupil). Another guy might expound on why he believes that he needs a 4.5-14x50mm on his M70 FWT 7mm-08 while another will counter that such a large heavy scope will overwhelm a trim light rifle.

So your easiest choice is to post what rifle you are scoping, what kind of hunting and shooting you do, terrain (I know what Rankin looks like well enough but other guys see the word "Inlet" and they get all West Coast Confused expecting moss and trees and vines), and what you're hunting.

Then 285 gun nuts will give you 45 different answer to your question. Then you can post another thread with a poll asking which of the top 10 suggestions is best, reiterating your criteria again.

On the bright side, this will up your post count and increase the size of your internet-#####!:D

Then I'll PM you with what you should actually buy. Because I'm ever smart, and your Western-Arctic Brother!

shoot what works best for you. simple as that, buy the best u can afford with the features you want.

####ty scopes break and dont hold 0
