scopes or sights for shotguns

what would you recommend for a scope?
i currently have an 870 with cantilever style mount, and a Bushnell Banner 1.75-4 x 32mm. It is inconsistant. I am thinking of replacing the scope with something that gives fast target acquisition in low light, and is accurate. Is there anything along the lines of a magnified red dot style without a red dot? (even AR 15 platform scope, i just can't find any). Any suggestions would be appreciated. TIA.

I us a bushnell red dot on my shotgun with great luck very fast on target i just love it for hunting turkeys DUTCH

Have a look at the Burris Speedbead.I haven't seen one on a shotgun yet ,but I did have an oppotunity to try the model for rifles the other day.It was very light and attached via a Weaver rail.Seemed good for quick target acquisition in the bush.I would imagine the shotgun model would be similar.

I heard of aimpoint being good for red dot. anyone try them?

sorry for so many questions, my last question is: what is the best scope for deer? (i am guessing 50-100 yrd shots). brand and mag.

you could try a bushnell trophy T-dot .. its modeled after an ACOG , but with no magnification, its a nice sight. and has a T reticle with a 1 moa dot in the center

Burris FastFire or Docter Optic.

Small, low profile, and 3.5MOA dot should be plenty fast and plenty accurate!
