scopes with 20mill ends

I have been looking for a new scope for my deer and turkey shotgun .I have seen some scopes ment for shotguns that have say a 1x4 by 20mill .would the field of view be a lot less the say a scope with a 2 to 6 with the 30 mill or 40 mill .I was looking at adds for all these scopes and the leupold shotgun scopes stands out the VXR 1.25 TO 4 X20 .I never got to hold one of these scopes so I am not sure how they compare .Dutch
