I have a Tikka T3X CTR and I am shopping for scopes. I would like to have a 25X magnification and a 50mm lens or more. What do you recommend to me?

what he said ^^

what type of shooting, what price range, what features are must haves on the scope?? illum, zero stop, very close range Adj Obj ability (<50m) for rimfires, reticle selections etc.

Theres a very nice Apex rival in the EE for a great price.
Sightrons are great, but havent got all the features that other scope have, at least not when i bought my 2 6-24 S3.

As others have stated, there are a lot more variables here than just what someone else would recommend, without any further context as to their requirements/intended use/budget etc. It's like asking for car suggestions without further context - you will get a plethora of suggestions.

The only thing I will say is this...in the past I was fairly limited in what I perceived to be my only choices, which are the standard brands we see at all gun stores.

A couple of fellows at my club recommended I try Athlon's line of scopes. I was reluctant at first, but tried out a couple of different models and I was pleasantly surprised how well they performed and how clear the glass is, from the entry level Neos series to more intermediate series Midas/Ares and higher (Chronus) . I am not necessarily giving a concrete suggestion as to whether the OP should get this or that; rather, just a humble suggestion to consider the Athlon models. They seem to have something for every budget and requirement and the quality is decently comparable to the other well known brands.

Check out German Precision Optics ( GPO ). I recently picked up a 3-15×56mm Spectra 5 from Hirsch Precision. Very nice glass, 30mm tube, turrets are very positive, and tracks accurately. Comes with a illuminated dot with a German 4 style cross hair reticle. Put this on one of my hunting rifles and couldn't be happier. I was going to purchase a Nightforce SHV, but went this route instead...no regrets.
