Ordered a scope mount from S&K for my '34 Mosin Nagant.

Set the mount up according to the instructions, did a bore alignment, popped off 3 rounds... and this is what I got !!

Bit of a crosswind. I was able to zero it pretty good... good enough for deer !!!

If its heavy, Its Russian…. If it does not shoot, at least you can hit them with it…. lol I hope my Mosin works...

that mount you have is a piece of sh--, i had one and it never held zero for more than 15 shots, so i finally paid a smith to tap and drill it and install a ati mount, it all cost 140 bucks. Then i topped it with a bushnell trophy 4-12x40 and love it.

Well, I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience with the S&K mount.

I'll give it a whirl and see what kind of results I get.

If it truly does not hold zero then I'll switch to something else.

Thx for your input.

A much better secure scout mounting solution. Is remove the upper handguard. Pop out the 2 cross pins for the rear sight base. Tap it off ( towards the muzzle ) Under there is a tapered dovetail. You can put a 3/8" dovetail adapter on it, and your upper handguard. Its non perminate as well. Can find the adapters for like 20$ on amazon and it held tight on my 91/59 for over 50 shots.

Finally got the Brass Stacker mount finalized and the scope dialed in. Took me 5 shots to get it on paper and zeroed in. The deer better watch out !!
