Scoping 6.5x55 Mauser

So I have the Swedish carbine from forever ago. Back when I was young and foolish I got the itch to sporterize it, though stock/bore were very good. Only thing I didn't do was tap for scope.
Might as well finish the job now.
Is there a product I can mount to the existing rear sight in order to scope it without drilling/tapping ???

Yes, I can't recall who makes them though. You would probably need a long eye relief scope.

I just mounted 2 of these from S/K last week. One on one of my M96 Swedes and the other on my 1908 Brazilian. You will need an Extended Eye Relief (EER) scope. (Someone here had a 4X Leupold on last week.) They give you a choice of S/K mount or Weaver mount. Weaver will give you more flexibility with ring selection.

Tradeex also stocks a one piece base for the m96, should work on an m38.
