Ran into a problem upgrading the scope on my Cz 527. Trying to upgrade from the burris fullfield to the signature hd series and these have a bigger eyepiece. I need .75"/19mm of clearance from the bottom of the ring cradle to the top of the action. Cant seem to find anything that would give me that height. My other option would be a rail but what is out there for a LH action?

Nathan

Are you sure about that number? Sounds very high. I mounted a 50mm optic with 0.45 rings and have about 1/8th gap over the barrel.

Objective radius - tube radius - barrel drop = required ring height.

For a 57mm bushnell on a 30mm tube

Ie: 1.13 (25mm) - 0.59 (15mm) - 0.2 (5mm) = 0.34" min ring height. I have 0.35 + 0.1 from my adapter piece.

Amazon has Weaver riser blocks. My buddy had to get some to make up for overly high the Oryx chassis' comb is. You may be able to see them here.

Im pretty sure. Tried the leupold high rings which measure 15mm and they didnt work. Its not the objective, its the bulky eye piece making contact with the high bolt throw thats the problem

You'd be better off changing the scope to keep it low. I had the same issue trying to mount a Sig Scope. Swapped to a Bushnell 4500 and bolt clears

We make an ambidextrous plus 20 MOA rail for exactly what you are trying to accomplish. You will need to have 4 holes drilled and tapped into the receiver however, but you will have a sold mount that won't put your scope up so high that a decent cheek weld is impossible.

Found another option that Im considering. the modified bolt handle by Glades Armory. They have it in Left hand. Has anyone installed 1 on thier rifle and did that help with the clearance issue?

I am using medium height original CZ rings with a Fullfield IV. The bolt clears the eye piece bell by pretty exactly 5 mm. (bolt pushed up when open to consider the bolt wiggle).

If you need more that that try the high CZ rings. They give you probably another 3 to 4 mm more clearance....

Or maybe these will do too...

Edit (found my notes...) The High Warne rings or medium CZ have same height - 16mm. Fullfield 4 ocular diameter 43 mm Signature HD ocular diameter 46 mm. Hence, hour bolt should clear the Burris HD series ocular by 3.5 mm.
