scoping a non ae model 94

Im about ready to get ready for the season and decided to use the 44 mag model 94 in 44 mag thats not angle eject.
Weaver still make the side mount? Thinking of a 4 power(ish) scoped that would have enought correction to put on it. Ideas?

I've tried several different side mounts and they all have one thing in common, they are terribly awkward. Your head and neck seem to have to twist into an unnatural position to even see through the scope. If you must mount a scope you may like one of the long eye relief mounts that mount in the rear sight dovetail but you have to purchase a LER scope. With the range limitations of a .44mag, have you considered a receiver sight?

never thought of the reciever site. who is making them now days havent seen any in years.

Williams and Lyman both make receiver sights. Williams makes a nice side mount also.

Your 94 should be already drilled and tapped for the sight. Should be 2 small holes with plugs in them at the left rear of the receiver.
