scoping a savage mako

Hey guys wondering if I can get some help here.

I have a scoped remington 597, what would I need to get this stuff onto my newly arriving savage mako? is there an adaptor? or do i get rings and a base? Been searching everywhere, not sure where to start.

I think you just need rings. When I bought my Mako I had a scope put on at the time.

The Mako is just a Savage MkII. Look in the Wholesale Sport catalog, their rings and bases table is pretty self explanatory.

Standard weaver bases on the Mako. My preference would be for Burris Zig Zee's in medium, depending on size of the oculare bell.

I second the Burris rings, I have 2 sets of them, one on the Mako, and easily clears my 42mm scope. Let us know how you make out with it, mine shoots like a dream. They come with bases installed, just need rings.
